To gain recognition and widespread use quickly, a new word would ideally be fun and/or one syllable. You might have opted to try “spackback” instead. Regarding spam comments I believe they will keep being referred to as such until the birth of a good enough word qualifying under either of the above criteria. “Spomment” probably doesn't.
