    Microsoft Getting Human

Wow, for the first time in my life I’ve received an honest, almost-human Windows XP message: The installation is taking longer than expected. Not as brutally honest as this one, but a good start Tags: Microsoft, Windows, Windows XP, WinXP, Error, Bug,…

As a happy Firefox user, I recently downloaded MS Internet Explorer 7 in order to open a file from my son’s teacher that would not open with Firefox. Since then, Outlook had been extremely sluggish - slow motion like - in opening even small files, but freezes on larger files with graphics.

Solution: After removing Internet Explorer 7, Outlook runs fine, with no delays! It is amazing how MS products seem to kill each other!

P.S. For redundancy, I have all email routed to an gMail account. I have learned the hard way to back up Outlook when other problems have cropped up.
