I've heard of cases where individual bloggers were threatened by corporate lawyers, and decided to take down their posts, not having the resources to spend on defence - that's the bad part. But that part is not specific to blogging, it's a fact of life in general :-( Thomas, agreed, not necessarily all bad – in fact your post provides several good examples of how lawyers put blogging to good use.
