I’m on blogspot, so I don’t have the luxury of emailing them. I’ve left up about 15 or 20 comments tht piled up in about four days, but I’ve gotten weary of all this crap piling up. And they all use Anonymous as their name so I can’t even differentiate except by style

So I was looking for guidelines on how to edit or a list of standards to post. Up to now I’ve only deleted spam.

Perhaps if I just block ranting they’ll change their style or go away. But that isn’t a satisfying solution.

Not even sure how to give you a sample. Blogspot doesn’t let you cut and paste from the offending comments, you can only do a thumbs up or thumbs down. And the comments are scattered over a number of posts.

And one sample isn’t the issue. The poster has something to say, but the style is not the style of the blog at all. One, two such posts is no problem. But cumulatively it is getting old and affecting the whole tone of my blog.

Any thoughts? I finally did a post on the topic which seems to have really pissed him off. Up until then he’d been somewhat agreeing with the direction I’d been going on some older posts. Here’s a link to that most recent post. I’ve got ten posts (eight from anon) waiting to be approved.

I can accept when people remove offensive, rude language, personal attacks – I personally would not remove it either, let them be ridiculed, but my point was, just because this is how I feel it’s not the golden rule.

However, removing comment just for contextual disagreement is really ridiculous, and also dishonest. Those who do it should simply turn commenting off, then we all know they just want to “declare” their own views.
