Could this be a new form of online advertising?

For example:

1. Company x searches their name a couple million times via a random zombie network or a field of proxies--whatever.

2. Company x now has a large amount of curious bloggers wondering who they are, the equivilent to an extremely significant amount of brand impressions, and thus a highly elevated level of brand awareness.

If this isn&#039;t the case now, I&#039;m pretty sure it will be (or, already is) the case with other companies. This is much too obvious of a technique, and the &quot;beauty&quot; of it lies in the fact it isn&#039;t directly invasive to the audience being targeted, as they don&#039;t really even know they are being exploited.
