I didn't know that the guy claims he actually whispered "pump" rather than "bomb." That throws an entirely different light on the case. At first, I was thinking what kind of nutjob would think it's ok for his mother to hear he had a bomb in his backpack, but not a pump. Now this version makes more sense. Not much, but just a bit.
