It’s a shame, really. Whatever his other qualities it seemed he at leaset recognized the UN for the utterly incapable and corrupt organization it is. Senate Democrats “urged him (Bush) to nominate a replacement who has broad bipartisan and international support.” What a frightening suggestion. Perhaps we are at a point where our presidential election should just be open for international votes.
