Hi Mike,

Sure, the browser example really isn't the point after all - I just wanted to make the case that we can see different things in the same set of number, and you're really sitting on a treasure chest full of - numbers :-)

Mike again...just wanted to add that your insights around metrics, their uses, and the "eye of the beholder" dimension is really interesting. Personally I'm curious to see how it all unfolds; good to have you along the journey.

Hi Zoli,

Mike from FreshBooks here...thanks for posting. I have to admit I saw that "loss of market share" component in there but did not want to comment on that piece till the dust settled with the analytics providers. I'm not sure that the new FireFox was "properly identified" by our analytics (or the new IE for that matter)…if this was the case even for a few days it would effect results. Browser recognition is automated, but the providers also have tables of known providers they check against. It they were not up to date then the numbers may have been off...or another way of saying all this is I wanted to hold off a little longer on the market share analysis...at least a month or two.

That said, thank you for posting and thank you also for digging into my analysis. I will endeavour to continue to raise the bar carrying forward.

Warm regards,

- Mike
