Instead of using the standard setting you need to use: pop.googlemail.com ssl 995 instead of pop.gmail.com ssl 995 Other said to use smtp.gmail.com but that wasn't working for me but it might for others. Finally one person ping'ed the pop.gmail.com sever and just used the IP address. Hope this helps Found some other people who solved the problem.
