I have been doing some research on SaaS and its future impact. Industry strategist Sramama Mitra has formulated the term called Enterprise 3.0 which is a combination of the extended enterprise and SaaS. Do check it out Enterprise 3.0 = (SaaS + EE) by Sramana MitraMitra.

Zoli,

Totally agreed. There is no need to create new name for old technology.

I find that some of the name and positions are less humbles than yours expressed in this article. The reason however is to find a place in the too much commented "information era."

I find that web 2.0 has:

Nymphomaniacs: not happy enough with what we life, they take see the next bubble coming already like web 3.0 of E 3.1
Fans: Not only like but also make contributions to the concept for almost any reason
Adepts: living on these tools
Agnostics: working no matter what exactly is the meaning
Contrarians: everything is a deja vu or not enough to be in the concept
Apocalyptics: destroying or announcing the destruction
