The failed download was a bit embarassing. You might have pointed out that I (the MSFT guy) had used an earlier version of Office, which is possibly even more embarassing. I find that far more powerful. I had mixed feelings about allowing the presenters to use powerpoints, as they are never consistent. It's a club policy that ought to be revisited IMO. In terms of deliberately embarrassing Microsoft, I hadn't thought about it that way, but I guess it made a point about SaaS as a great model that requires no version control.
