Now I know why some agencies have, in my experience, charged so much. It's to ease the pain from all the idiots they have to deal with.

Hi Zoli, I believe there is a problem with the video...

There is a blank under "who introduced me to the creative process:"

Hi Zoli. (Repeating what I said in the EI group this morning.) I think Brian's work on educating PR/Marcom folks on the relevancy and importance of social media is ground-breaking.
http://www.briansolis.com/2007/06/future-of-communications-manifesto-...

1. I don't believe the "prism" (which looks
more like a Chrysanthemum than a prism) is meant to demonstrate how to navigate or leverage social media, it's simply pointing out how many vehicles there are out there that clients may not be aware of. He's actually done a good job segmenting the various social media outlets by like-group. 2. having worked on Madison Avenue, the text intro
wrongly attributes the agency with
concept-to-execution creation, its actually parodying the absurdity of client direction/demands (and quite accurately, I might add.)

For so many of us who've been on the journalism side of the business, we should be encouraging more PR folk to pay attention to Brian, rather than finding fault with him.
