I am pretty excited about cloud avenue too. Waiting for the launch on Monday.

I split my time between Chennai & Bangalore (where two of my companies are present) and Seattle (for personal reasons). I am geographically distributed myself and cloud computing plays an important role in my life. Everything from documents to pictures to music is on cloud so that I can access it wherever I am. I collaborate with the employees in our company using SaaS apps. This makes this project doubly interesting to me.

It feels like SaaS / Cloud passed a milestone of sorts recently. Year after year we were all looking for, or trying to create, pathfinders, leaders, examples where the story scaled. There are now many examples of this - surprise Microsoft is still not one of them – know anyone that took that bet?

Generally folks have been reading off the same sheet for years, it seems like a good time to recognize the progress the sector has made, then look forward and change it up so we can collectively learn, evolve and continue to create value in this emerging industry. I call it new because the old guards in IT and distribution don't play with SaaSy guys. Lets just expand our sandbox, get some cool new toys and invite more and more friends over to play with us until “we’re to cool to ignore”. Good luck guys.
