I know netbook prices are dropping, but not this fast!  Just a day after hearing about a $309 deal here’s an ad for a higher-end Acer Aspire One, for $279, shipping included!

The lowest price for this configuration so far has been on Amazon, @ $399.

I am speechless… this looks too good to be true.  I can’t find any info on the vendor (BeneficialTech.info), there is a contact email but no phone number - - but they have Google Checkout.

So I leave it to my dear readers to decide: do you think this is real or a scam? smile_eyeroll

I don’t know if it’s for real, but it’s Acer, not Asus - Asus does the EEE-Line, Inspire is Acer.

Zoli - yes - 6cell, 160GB, etc. One black, one blue. One for me and one for a friend. I have them in hand. Only thing odd is that these ones do not come with a sleeve - the 3cell ones do - not that the sleeve i very good but…

Did you order yours from the beneficial site?

No, sounds too risky, unverifiable - waiting for shipment from Amazon.

For the future - you can get good deals at the moment if you feel able to trust ebay ‘buy it now’ by joining the microsoft live search cashback program, then searching, going to ebay via the link and purchasing a buy it now product via paypal (all the steps MUST be followed). The result is that you can save 20% off just about any new product. That’s how I got the acer for $330. It ia a great little netbook and incredibly portable

They are no longer accepting Google Payments. Looks like a scam, or maybe Google is checking them out or something. Of course I can’t be certain , but if it’s too good to be true…..

Google checkout is great only see the issue while calculate shipping with UPS and server call back time is only 3 sec.
