Hilarious Adventure at CompUSA

I don’t normally quote someone else’s post unless I have something to add, but this is just plain simply hilarious:

Jeffy descends into retail Hell and returns bearing wisdom.

(Btw., I did find my bluetooth headset on he Net. Got rid of it since..)

  1. I just heard that compusa is not going to pay thier empoyees retirement no matter how long they have been with the company.

  2. Those few of you that back ConUSA and their deceptive liquidation policies are flat wrong on this issue. The power of the people is the only way to see this. Open you eyes and look at what is happening. Alot of regular folks have gotten ripped off. They got me for about $80 on a bunk PCI wireless network adapter.

The sucker based ponzy scheme ConUSA has engaged in is now in the final stages. Their reputation and brand is toast and their business collapsing. It reminds me of Enron but in a power to people kinda way. Pissing off to many good old Americans on rebates landed them in court. ConUSA lost and and the people got Justice. So at this point are you going to believe a thief or a regular guy?

Fast forward…… More recently CompUSA stores are being liquidated left and right. Word has gotten that CompUSA is shady. Death is almost done devouring the con artists at CompUSA. It won’t be long before the average schmo is protected. All the CompUSA will be closed.

I hate it when fockers buy American brands that took years to build and then use them to rip off the American people. I’m sure another company will fill the vacuum. Let hope they have more heart than the owner and management at CompUSA did.

  3. Hi all I just wanted to give a bit of wisdom for any Shopper at COMP-USA. Portland OR>

I bought a Toshiba Gigabeat T400 for 104.00 on 12/14/07 as a gift for my husband. Well they would not let me open up the box in the store before I bought it. Funny, now I know why… IT WAS BROKEN, I mean the screen was shattered. So only once you buy something you can then open the box, but by then it’s to late.. ALL SALES FINAL. So I was told to send it back to Toshiba, so I called them… Twice! and they said that if it has physically damaged they can’t honer the warranty but if I want to give them my Credit Card number they will look at it and then send me out a new one for 149.00 charging my credit card. I said pass… So this is my chunk of wisdom, pass on the good deals at CompUSA because they are a bit to shady! You can open up a 4 grand HD TV or a new shiny lap top… only after you slap down your hard earned cash.. and if its broken or say there is a big scratch on your screen, they won’t take it back. OH and TAPS their outside warranty program does not want the employees bringing it up as they don’t really want any business with CompUSA anymore as told my to by the Manager MARY at CompUSA. Shell out the few extra dollars and buy somewhere else, that has not filed bankruptcy. I’ve just called The Oregonian so maybe they will give a heads up. And warn buyers away!
FOR more information plese contact the company who bought them out.

  4. Melanie,

I don’t censor comments, but made an exception in your case, removing the personal details of several company representatives you listed at the end of your comment – for privacy reasons.

  5. I bought a lap-top from the one and only (comp(not)usa), I never claimed to be dumb, but I was when I bought the extended warranty(for $249.00). The hinge on one side of  the screen broke, so I call the warranty co. were one is to call so  you can send them the computer, after sending it to them some lady by the name of Kathy Hoblit sent me a E-mail stating that there are certain types of damage that we don’t cover,(like I threw my lap top out the window going down the freeway. I guess I should of went to Tijuana Mexico and spent the $249.00 on some (HOOKERS) ad least I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN MY MONEYS WORTH, who knows I might have ran into to Kathy (HO)blit
